What is the Chamber doing for me?

What are you doing for the Chamber?

While both questions are important...
your involvement is an imperative.

What is a Business Networking Social?

Business Networking Socials (BNS) are events held by Chamber Members for Chamber members and prospective members. Four or five Socials are held annually. They are sponsored by members at the members cost and provide a simple way to introduce their business or organization. Most socials include plenty of time to socialize, to learn about the business/organization and to enjoy refreshments.

Why attend a Business Networking Social? Because the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce has been growing during the past few years, you'll have an opportunity to expand your business-to-business network. Local people who need, and also provide, quality services. The Chamber encourages the public AND chamber members to support one another. Your involvement is much more than paying dues or simply being "a member" of the Chamber. Organizations also benefit, by making the Chamber and the public aware of their existence and their unique support for the entire community.

At a BNS, you can introduce your business or organization, hand out business cards, and get to know members personally.

What happens at Monthly Chamber Meetings?

Every second Thursday of each month, except March, all members are invited to attend a 7:30 am to 8:30 am meeting at the Quarryville Library. Our attendance has been around 30 persons, and a wide range of business and organizations are represented. Updates are provided by the committees and there is time for questions and comments. Each month a different speaker provides insight in diverse subjects of interest.

Every member is encouraged to participate in the monthly meetings and on small committees that are vital to the Chamber. These committees provide the Chamber's link to the public. Your ideas and involvement are important to the success of our Chamber and your community. Even if you can't commit to every meeting, you are invited to attend as many as you can. Unlike many other Chamber of Commerce organizations, our Chamber exists because of the volunteers who actively participate on staff and within committees, including the President of the Chamber.
