Shredding Event in Willow Street June 7

The Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce will host a community shredding event on Friday, June 7 from 2 to 6 p.m. at GR Mitchell's Inc., on Beaver Valley Pike in Willow Street.

Local businesses, organizations and residents are invited to bring their sensitive and confidential paper-based materials for shredding. The shredding will be conducted by Nexcut. A closed-circuit camera in the shredding equipment will enable people to watch as their materials are thoroughly shredded. All shredded material will be recycled.

Donations are encouraged and will be used to help fund the college scholarships provided each year by the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce to graduating seniors in the Solanco and Lampeter-Strasburg school districts.

The shredding event is for sensitive and confidential materials only. Newspapers and magazines will not be accepted.

The Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce strives to advance the civic, commercial and industrial interests of the Southern Lancaster County area. Why is membership in the Chamber important for your business or organization?

Since 1955, the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce has been organized for the purpose of advancing the financial, industrial and civic interests of the southern part of Lancaster County. Our Chamber provides the "extra touch" with the community, not provided by any other business unit or organization. Year after year we continue with the help of our members to grow stronger and more vital, expanding not only our reach, but also our services.

Our chamber is operated solely by member volunteers, and the investment of their time and input is what makes the Chamber a great organization.
