We've created a new program that will involve all of our community members – and our goal is to build financial strength within our local neighborhoods.

What is SLCCC 360?

Well, SLCCC means...
Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce. It is a vibrant organization comprised of the 150+ local organizations and businesses listed under our Members tab.

360 has a couple meanings...
360 means full circle.
360 degrees. All around you are SLCCC businesses and organizations that provide goods and services comparable in quality and price to anything you would seek out of the area. Investing locally will create dividends for you. The facts show that improved economy means more goods and services available locally. It also means increased employment opportunities. Local business growth means sustained community growth. Neighbors supporting neighbors. Faithful patrons supporting community businesses and organizations.

360 also stands for a local commitment.
We’re asking that you spend $120 each month during the summer on purchases at local businesses or contributions to local organizations – a commitment of $360 invested locally. All of our members are listed on our members page. Start your commitment with the business and organizations where you already have a relationship. Then, take a look at what our other members can offer. You will be supporting the local economy with local dollars and may learn about services and products you never knew about!

Your incentive?
Supporting your community might be enough. But the commitment could put some money back in your pocket. At each different SLCCC business or organization that you patronize, you can turn in a contest entry. Each entry gives you a chance to win a cash prize that will be drawn in September. So, for simply buying locally – things that you would be buying anyway, you not only support the community, but you also have a chance to win a cash-back prize. Entry forms are available and valid at Chamber Member locations only.

How often can a person enter?
You may enter once per establishment throughout the summer.  This will benefit you because you already patronize chamber members... and we trust this offer will encourage you to seek out members that you haven’t supported previously, for other services and goods.

Can a person enter the drawing if he or she did not purchase anything?
For businesses that have walk-in customers and whose business is to sell goods, we expect people to make a purchase to enter the drawing.  The size of the individual purchase isn’t really a factor. The commitment to spend $360 can be spread out among many local purchases and donations. Other businesses, such as real estate, financial planning, health care, etc., are built upon providing consumer services. A serious business inquiry which may lead to a paid service qualifies for an entry. A simple walk in to request a coupon entry would not.

What are the prizes?
We will be awarding four cash prizes: $180, $180, $100, $50.  In addition, some businesses have offered to contribute gift certificates as prizes.

When will the program end?
The campaign will occur throughout the summer months, with the winners being selected in early September.  However, the campaign is meant to raise the visibility of the Chamber and its members and to encourage the entire community to think about supporting neighbors, businesses and organizations on a long-term basis.

When will the winners be announced?
We will hold the drawing at the September chamber meeting.  The winners will be notified, and the results will announced on promotional displays by Chamber members at the Solanco Fair, and we will also post this information on the chamber web site.
